1) Inter-Kingdom Anthropology 101 - Back in the Dim Distant Times of 4 kingdoms, the SCA 'codified' and created both laws and customs which became unique to the East, West, Middle, and Atenveldt. As the decades marched on, 4 kingdoms became 19, yet there are still practices in all the kingdoms which can be traced back to the original 4. Mundanely a cultural anthropologist, Ealdormere's Dame TSivia bas Tamara will highlight laws, customs, and attitudes which differ between kingdoms, similarities between kindred-kingdoms, and even highlight some practices which may raise an eyebrow or two. 1 hr., any age. 2) Vocal Control for Bards and Heralds - Do you find that your throat starts to ache in the middle of heralding court? Do you wish to sing at feast but find that they aren't hearing you beyond the second row of court? Well, this is the course for you! E.K. Troubadour, bardic arts Laurel and "stealth herald" Dame TSivia bas Tamara will share tips and tricks learnt during a dozen years in professional on-air radio news and 40 years of performing at events. If possible, bring a short text you would like to practice with and be prepared to be LOUD. 1 hr. 10 and up.
